Cliff and Shela welcome you their OwyheeStar Weimaraners website. For more than twenty years, they have been devoting their attention solely to the breed. Cliff's first Weim experience planted a deep-seeded love of the breed that never left him. Later when he (and Shela returned to the Weimaraner), they were captivated.
It has been more than fifty years since Cliff received his first Weimaraner from Uncle Clifton-a lot has changed. The focus has turned to Cliff )like his uncle was many years ago) raising these wonderful creatures. Cliff and Shela spend a great deal of time sharing their expertise, and love for the breed. OwyheeStar is more of a community than a kennel name. Yes, Cliff and Shela use the name in their pedigree, and to identify their Weims; however, many people associate a lot of heart-felt memories when they hear OwyheeStar. The wonderful creatures Cliff and Shela raise, and share with others, are life-changing. The OwyheeStar Weimaraner can be found afield, and afloat. Some participate in events (field trials, versatile hunt tests, agility, etc.) while others are primary companions. OwyheeStars also frequent the beach, the mountains, and the high desert of Oregon. Cliff and Shela raise the Weimaraner--Silver Gray, Gray, and Blue tradition (short-hair smooth coats) make up 95% of the requests. Nevertheless, the Longhair Weimaraner is growing in popularity, and they have longhair pups available from time to time. For more information about puppy availability, please email Shela. |
